Summary:

The Transmission Disassembly Specialist will be responsible for disassembling transmission cores in order to recover and salvage parts for remanufacturing operations. This position must have the ability to read, follow and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. While performing the duties of this job, the Transmission Disassembly Specialist regularly required to stand for periods of time, and must also be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Receives new and incoming transmission cores from shipping
• Disassembles transmission unit using hand and air tools
• Identifies and separates transmission into subassemblies and components
• Stages parts for semi-automated parts washer
• Other duties may be assigned

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
